PURPOSE:To aim at ionization in suction air as well as to improve output torque ever so better, by installing a grilled ionization device inside a suction passage alongside, while impressing high voltage of an ignition coil on the said device. CONSTITUTION:A grilled ionization device A is installed interposingly between an intake manifold 1 and a cylinder head 4. This ionization device A is made up of applying an insulating material consisting in the specified thickness (1mm. or so) onto a metal plate 6 made into grilled form, while a high tension cord of an ignition coil is connected to this metal plate 6. And, at this time, in order to prevent the metal plate 6 from being grounded, a screw 8, which locks this device A to the cylinder head 4 together with the intake manifold 1, is covered with a rubber tube 7. And, utilizing the static electricity generated out of the metal plate 6 due to high voltage in time of spark generation, suction air is made so as to be ionized. |
