PURPOSE:To prepare the titled substance important as a biohormone, easily and effectively under mild condition, by reacting a peptide containing the structural unit of tyrosine with a specific enzyme in the presence of a sulfate-group donor, thereby sulfating the OH of the tyrosine residue. CONSTITUTION:The polypeptide having the structure of X-tyrosine-Y-glycine- tryptophan-methonine-aspartic acid-phenylalanine-NH2 (X is aspartic acid-pyroglutamic acid-glutamic acid, etc.; Y is methionine-leucine, etc.) is treated with an enzyme arylsulfotransferase in the presence of a sulfate-group donor (preferably aryl sulfate such as phenyl sulfate) to convert the OH in the tyrosine group to sulfuric acid ester. The enzyme is e.g. arylsulfo-transferase produced by Eubacterium rectale. |
