The invention relates to a process for vulcanisation of elastomers or mixtures of elastomers which are normally apolar by passing said elastomers through an ultrahigh frequency field. At least a polyurethane and a plasticiser are incorporated into the mixture to be vulcanised, in addition to the conventional rubber constituents, before the said passage. This process applies to the vulcanisation of elastomers containing light-coloured fillers.
