PURPOSE:To make it possible to automatically and smoothly perform the attachment and detachment of the connector between a tester and an apparatus to be tested, by mounting the card edge of the printed circuit board of a carrier having the apparatus to be tested mounted thereto to the card edge connector in the side of the tester. CONSTITUTION:An apparatus 1 to be tested is arranged to a carrier 6 while a printed circuit boared 8 and the apparatus 1 to be tested are connected through a pin connector 10 and a ribbon cable 11. Next, the carrier 6 is transferred to an introducing port 17 by a transfer means such as a chain to be fed between guide rollers 15, 16. Whereupon, the carrier 6 is transferred onto the horizontal transfer roller 7 on a support stand 12 and transferred toward the card edge connector 5 of a tester 2. By this mechanism, the carrier 6 is guided by guide rollers 15, 16 to receive positional determination and, when a card edge 9 is mounted to the card edge connector 5, the driving force of the carrier 6 to the side of the tester 2 is released and a stable state is secured to perform a test or inspection.
