PURPOSE:To measure the weight of a chicken on a movable bed member, by suspending a spring scale at the boundary of a neighboring pair of gages, connecting a frame that supports the movable bed member, on which the chicken is mounted, to the lower end of the scale, and pulling up the spring scale. CONSTITUTION:A boundary surface part 5 of a pair of cages 1 is formed in a grid shape. A longitudinal blank part 8 of the boundary surface is formed from a ceiling to a bottom part 2. At the lower surface of the boundary of the bottom part 2 of the neighboring cage, a lower supporting member 9 is extended from the back side to the front side. Meanwhile, an upper supporting member 11, which faces the lower supporting member 9, is the ceiling of a pair of the cages 1 and arranged at the boundary. A suspending member 16 is wound around a round rod member 15, which is slightly slanted with respect to the upper supporting member 11. The other end of the member 6 is connected to the upper end of a spring scale 17. The spring scale 17 is suspended from the lower part of the round rod member 15.
