摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To increase the quantity of heat accumulated per unit volume by a structure wherein a large number of spherical heat accumulating bodies filled with heating medium, which accumulates and releases heat utilizing the latent heat accompanied by the phase change between fusion and solidification, are housed in a boiler drum and one end portion is connected with the other end portion of the boiler drum by means of a circulating pipe, in which a pump is arranged. CONSTITUTION:After a certain amount of water is supplied in a boiler drum 1, an electric heat generating body 2 is actuated and a pump 14 is driven. Heat is transferred from the water to spherical heat accumulating bodies 12 so that heating medium 10 melts at its melting temperature, resulting in accumulating the latent heat of fusion. Next, the hot water in the drum 1 is supplied in response to the request of load through a hot water supplying pipe 4 to apparatuses in use. The water, which is newly supplied in the drum 1 as the hot water in the drum 1 is supplied to usage, contacts with the spherical heat accumulating bodies 12 during the process that the water is flowed vertically in the drum 1 by means of the circulating pump 14. The spherical heat accumulating bodies 12 give off their sensible heats to the water during the range from their high temperature liquid phase state to their solidification points and release the heats, which have stored as the latent heat of fusion in advance, as the latent heat of solidification at their solidification points. Because the heating medium constituting the spherical heat accumulating bodies 12 has larger heat accumulating density, larger amount of hot water is obtained.</p>
