Two bars (6,7) are telescopically slidable together, with a spring (8) acting between to drawn them in. One end of each bar carries a wedge (4,5), positioned on either side of a cylindrical cargo body (2) to prevent it rolling. A small roller can replace one of the wedges, to allow rolling movement in one direction. The bars can comprise tubes, pref. of rectangular section to prevent relative rotation between them. The wedges can have a resilient friction-increasing layer on their undersurface, to prevent slippage on the load-carrying surface. |
