PURPOSE:To disturb the flow of air around the periphery of a pipe disposed at the upstream side of a heat exchanger to improve the heat transmission function by disposing a porous plate having circular holes in a direction intercrossing the flow direction of an air current, on the air upstream side with respect to the air current of the heat exchanger. CONSTITUTION:The porous plate 7 provided in an air flow direction on the upstream side of the heat exchanger 3 has a large number of circular holes 8 which are provided with dust preventive filters 9. When the air conditioner is actuated, air flows in a direction indicated by arrow A, and a vortex as shown by arrow X is produced by the edge effect from the edge 10 of each circular hole 8. As a result, the flow around a pipe 2a of the first row is disturbed, and the heat transmission function around the pipe is improved, thus greatly improving the function as a heat exchanger and also improving the efficiency of the air conditioner. |
