摘要 PURPOSE:To generate a uniform electric field in the whole piezoelectric ceramics by forming an insulator to the whole other sections except slight width, shaping an external electrode from the upper section of the insulator and applying driving voltage. CONSTITUTION:A very small amount of an organic binder is added to an electrostrictive material prebaking powder mainly comprising magnesium lead niobate and lead titanate, and dispersed into an organic solvent, thus manufacturing slurry. The slurry is applied onto a Mylar film and dried, and peeled from the film, thus obtaining an electrostrictive material green sheet. Platinum paste is further screen-printed to the green sheets as one part as internal electrodes, and one hundred green sheets are superposed, pressure-welded and unified by a hot press, and baked, thus manufacturing an electrostrictive material laminate. Two positions are cut and temporarily provided section external electrodes are applied onto the cut surfaces and baked, and two different positions of side surfaces are cut to expose the internal electrodes. Accordingly, stress does not concentrated in an element even by the application of high voltage executing copper plating, and an element is not broken mechanically.
