发明名称 AUTOMATIC SUN-TRACKING MECHANISM
摘要 PURPOSE:To enable to track the sun immediately when the sun shines even after being hidden by clouds for a certain period of time by a structure wherein tracking concentrators, at the focal line each of which the rocking mechanism of a light receiving body is provided, are arranged at both ends parallel to the rotary axis of the light receiving body. CONSTITUTION:When the sun shines in the direction indicated by the arrow S, upper compound parabolic concentrator (CPC) type reflectors 10a and 10c concentrate the sun's light on their focal lines, resulting in heating shape memory alloy wires 11a and 11c so as to raise the temperatures of the respective wires 11a and 11c. Consequently, the wires 11a and 11c start to contract themselves into solid-coiled state, resulting in pulling tension wires 12a and 12c in the direction indicated by the arrows X so as to rewind wire drums 16. As a result, worm gears 17 are rotated so as to start to rotate, through worm wheels 18, the whole rocking structure containing a parabolic trough reflector 1 and an absorber pipe 2 in the direction indicated by the arrow Y. When the direction of the reflector 1 coincides with the direction of the sun, the rotation of the rocking structure stops. When the sun's altitude becomes lower in the afternoon, lower CPC type reflectors 10b and 10d concentrate the sun's light, resulting in rotating the whole rocking structure in the direction indicated by the arrow Z so as to track the sun.
