PURPOSE:To enhance printed character correcting performance or the like, by a method wherein an adhesive layer comprising 100pts.wt. of a silicone polyer and 20-100pts.wt. of white carbon and/or carbon black is provided on one side of a base. CONSTITUTION:The correction tape 1 for printed characters is produced by providing a low-tackiness adhesive layer 5 in a pseudo-crosslinked state on one side of a flexible base 4, and an instantaneous type pressure is impressed on the tape 1 by a type bar 6 from the upper side of the tape 1, thereby laying the tape 1 on a printed character 2, with the adhesive layer 5 side in contact with the printed character 2. At this moment, a pressed part 7 of the layer 5 is deformed in the manner of plastic flow to conform to the rugged pattern of the printed image 2, and favorably adheres to the printed surface with good drape. When the type pressure is removed, the pressed part 7 of the adhesive layer 5 remains in a pseudo-crosslinked state in conformity with the rugged pattern of the printed character 2, so that favorable adhesion of the part 7 to the printed character is maintained, and the printed character 2 is clearly lifted off from a typing paper 3. |
