Device intended to prevent injuries caused by accidental contact with the blade of a circular worksite saw. The invention relates to a device affording complete and permanent protection during the operation of a circular saw. It is composed of a stationary metal cover 1 equipped with two lateral protectors 2 completely enveloping the visible part of the sawblade, which by a set of articulations 3 and 4 lift up only by the thickness of the workpiece to be sawn, retracting towards the inside of the stationary cover. This device does not hinder the use of the saw. It is more particularly intended to equip work site saws, but may also be used on saws in the workshop. <IMAGE>
