The comb according to the invention has retractable teeth 20 and a handle 3 which can be withdrawn into a sleeve 1. The sleeve has the shape of a hollow and narrow parallelepiped comprising an opening 10 on a small lateral face for the passage of the teeth 20 and an opening 12 on a front face for the passage of the handle 3. The latter comprises a manoeuvring grip 32 at the end and a core 31 passing via the opening 12 and provided with slides with inclined grooves 33, 34 in which are engaged studs 22 provided on a blank of the back 23 of the comb. This comb, which is small and easy and convenient to use, fits advantageously into garment pockets or into handbags particularly ladies' handbags. <IMAGE>
