PURPOSE:To prevent an ink doner film from being wrinkled, by providing a load-reducing mechanism for releasing or reducing a load exerted by a brake mechanism on an ink doner film being fed, at a predetermined timing. CONSTITUTION:When the trailing end of a recording paper 15 is detected after completion of recording, all of plunger solenoid 36, 46, 53 are supplied with an electric current, and a stepping motor 12 is stopped after a little lapse of time. With an electric current passed to the solenoid 36, a plunger 37 is attracted, thereby separating a back-up roller 6 from a thermal head 5. With an electric current passed to the solenoid 46, a plunger 47 is attracted, thereby separating pinch rollers 9 from a driving roller 8. With an electric current passed to the solenoid 53, a plunger 54 is attracted, whereby a spacing member 51 is turned clockwise to separate brake plates 23 from each other, thereby releasing or reducing a braking force exerted on a shaft 3, relieving the ink doner film 1 and making uniform the tension on the film 1 between a payout roll 2 and a take-up roll 11. |
