摘要 PURPOSE:To enhance uniformity and strength of an ink layer, by providing a recording material with a two-layer construction comprising a base layer and an ink layer in this order as viewed from the recording electrode side or a three- layer construction comprising a base layer, an intermediate layer and an ink layer. CONSTITUTION:A recording material 1 having a two-layer construction comprising the base layer 11 and the ink layer 13 or a recording material 1' having a three-layer construction comprising the base layer 11, the intermediate layer 12 and the ink layer 13 is produced. A recording material of the type in which Joule heat is generated in the base layer 11 and a recording material of the type in which Joule heat is generated in the ink layer 13 differ from each other in view of electrical resistance R. However, it is common for both types that the base layer 11 on the electrode stylus side is made to have high heat resistance so as to prevent thermal damage and stylus contamination, and the ink layer 13 is made to have a low softening point.
