PURPOSE:To simplify a sliding guide device in its constitution as well as to make this device supportable in a stable manner, by forming plural guide surfaces being crossed at an optional angle each, in a bearing guide rod, and also forming an air pocket corresponding to the said guide surface, in a bearing pad. CONSTITUTION:This guide device consists of a pair of true straight line guide rods 1a and 1b forming two bearing guide surfaces 11 and 12 being orthogonalized at an angle of 90 deg. and two bearing pads 2a and 2b being engaged and supported on both these guide rods. Each bearing pad constitutes a series of air pockets 24 interconnected at the orthogonal part by two bearing guide surfaces and concave parts 22 and 23 of the bearing pad, while at each air pocket, an orifice 25 is opened at the central part. And, this orifice is interconnected to a pressure air source, thus air for bearing support is supplied. |
