PURPOSE:To extend the life of a blade and attain stably copy pictures of high quality by controlling the gap between a developing sleeve and a photosensitive sheet to perform development by a developing roll when the photosensitive sheet passes between the developing sleeve and the developing roll. CONSTITUTION:First, a photosensitive body 4 is charged electrostatically by a electrostatic charge charger 6 simultaneously with copy start, and an exposure device 7 is moved in the direction of an arrow, and the light of an exposure lamp 7a is reflected on the surface of an original and is formed as an electrostatic latent image on the photosensitive body 4 through an optical fiber lens 7b. Thereafter, the photosensitive body 4 is carried to a developing part by driving of a pair of photosensitive body holding rolls 5a and 5b and is carried by a pair of developing device carrying rolls 10a and 10b. When the front end of the photosensitive body 4 is caught between a pair of developing device carrying rolls 10b, a developing roll 11 facing a developing device 9 is driven to press the rear face of the photosensitive body 4, and the gap between a developing sleeve 9a of the developing device 9 and the photosensitive body 4 is controlled to attain the state where development is possible, and a visible image is formed by a toner. |
