摘要 PURPOSE:To realize an integrated circuit with which no delay in response occurs and a high track resolution can be obtained, by obtaining reproduced signals of each track by fetching the output signals of magnetism-electricity converting elements corresponding to the nearly central part of plural tracks except both side edges. CONSTITUTION:When a magnetic tape slips in the direction shown by the arrow B2 and a magnetic field distribution becomes the condition shown by III, only switches SWc-SWe are closed and output voltages of elements 21c-21e corresponding to the nearly central part of a track Ti are added and outputted as the reproduced signal of the track Ti. Switching of switches SWa-SWf is performed purely electronic way by control signals of discriminators 23a-23f and output voltages of MR elements corresponding to the nearly central part of the track Ti are always added and used as reproduced signals. Therefore, no delay in response occurs and necessity of highly accurate tape guides and tracking servo mechanisms is eliminated. Moreover, the whole circuit can be constituted with an integrated circuit, because no mechanism is required.
