<p>PURPOSE:To obtain high-quality reproduced pictures at varying speeds, by controlling the advancing position of a rotary head to a recording track before advancing to the recording track so as to obtain excellent tracking after advancing and stable operation of a converting means. CONSTITUTION:Reproduced signals obtained from reproduced heads 2A and 2B contain video signals and pilot signals for tracking. The reproduced signals are changed to continuous signals by changeover (HSW) signals after passing through a reproducing amplifier 51 and supplied to a video signal reproduction processing circuit 52 and tracking signal generating circuit 53. The processing circuit 52 separates video signals from the output signal of the amplifier 51 and also makes processing of modulation, etc., and supplies reproduced signals having the original signal forms to an output terminal 50. The circuit 53 separates pilot signal components from the output signal of the amplifier 51 and compares levels of pilot signals obtained both adjacent tracks to obtain tracking controlling signals. Therefore, high-quality reproduced pictures can be obtained at varying speeds.</p> |
