PURPOSE:To form porous polysiloxane near the surface of an electrode plate without changing the basic process of the production method of a paste type electrode plate by pressing a wet porous sheet impregnated with one-liquie type aqueous silicone to the surface of the active material coated on a grid and drying it. CONSTITUTION:A paste paper 4 stuck to the coated surface of an electrode plate and a paste paper 5 stuck to the lower surface of the electrode plate are normally used to protect the surfaces while handling, e.g., transportation. These paste papers 4, 5 are supplied by passing them through a shower 6 and a liquid tank 7 of aqueous silicone in advance. Then, wet paper 5 immersed in aqueous silicone are stuck to both sides of a grid 3 and are pressed by rollers as required. |
