The invention relates to an electronic simulator of variable resistance enabling an adjustable resistance to be obtained between its terminals 1 and 2. According to this invention, this simulator comprises: a. a reference resistor rho , b. a filter r, c, c. an electronic inverting switch K making it possible to apply to the terminals of the filter r, c the voltage appearing at one of the terminals of the reference resistor rho for part of the period T of a repetitive cycle, and the voltage appearing at the other terminal of the reference resistor rho for the other part of the period T, and, d. an impedance-matching amplifier of unit gain A2 for transmitting to the terminal 2 of the simulator the voltage existing at the terminals of the capacitor c. Application in particular to the simulation of a resistance sensor and to the monitoring of apparatuses for measuring resistances. <IMAGE>
