PURPOSE:To obtain a radome that does not disturb radiation field by providing a dielectric of high heat conductivity and a heater and its controlling section provided on the periphery or a part of inside of the radome. CONSTITUTION:To equip a horn antenna 1 with a radome, a heater 3 is provided in the periphery of a dielectric core 2 of high heat conductivity, and the circumference of the core 2 and heater 3 is protected with a thin dielectric skin 4 in sandwich-like form to heighten mechanical strength and to improve weather-resistance. The output of the heater is controlled by a controlling section 5 to become a specified value. High transmittivity of electromagnetic wave is required of the material of the core 2 and skin 4, and high heat conductivity is required of the core 2 at the same time. Thus, the generated heat of the heater 3 is transmitted efficiently through the core 2, and the surface of the radome is warmed through the thin skin 4, and accordingly, sufficient snow melting effect can be obtained by simple constitution. Injurious influence is given to characteristic of the antenna. |
