PURPOSE:To reduce clogging of a filter by providing a layer consisting of a fluorine high polymer represented by ''Teflon'' on the surface of a scavenger roll and make it easy that a toner is detached from there. CONSTITUTION:A scavenger roll 4 is arranged in a space 9 and is rotated in the direction of an arrow C. The scavenger roll 4 consists of conductive materials, and a flow passage 10 is formed between the peripheral surface of the roll 4 and an electrode 7 facing it, and a DC high voltage is impressed between the scavenger roll 4 and the electrode 7. The toner discharged to the space 9 is put on an air current and goes toward a filter chamber 11 through the flow passage 10, but on the way, the toner is attracted to the peripheral surface of the scavenger roll 4 by an electrostatic force, and this attracted toner is scraped by a blade 5 brought into contact with the scavenger roll 4 and is returned to a toner tank by a carrying-out auger 13. A stainless steel is selected as materials of the scavenger roll 4, and the blade 5 is constituted of a polyester or polyurethane film, and copy papers are supplied continuously. |
