PURPOSE:To obtain a small-sized simple Japanese word processor, in which Japanese words can be inputted quickly and easily in accordance with the sense of natural Japanese language, by performing Kana (Japanese syllabary)-to-Kanji (Chinese character) conversion on reading characters inputted in soil writing in the unit of sentence and outputting them as a sentence in which Kanji and Kana are mixed. CONSTITUTION:A Kanji-Kana conversion processing section 42 retrieves a word dictionary 32 through an input-output system (IOS)34 and finds the most suitable longest independent word for the head section of an inputted Kana character string. Moreover, the section 42 also finds the most suitable adjunct corresponding Kana section. Then the section 42 performs a grammatical analysis on the connecting relation of the found independent word and adjunct by referring to a grammatical rule table in the IOS34 and determines the combination of the indenpendent word and adjunct which is considered to be the best. Thereafter, the section 42 successively finds the combination of an independent word and adjunct for succeeding each clause of one character string in the same way and converted clauses of inputted clauses are successively formed in a key input buffer 12 and displayed on a screen 28. One Kana-Kanji mixing sentence thus completed in the buffer 12 is read out by an edition processing section 40 and sentto a host from an output buffer 36. |
