The filter makes use of the information attributable to the time between the actual onset of object position variation and the moment when it was observed, and the data are used in a process of inward pivoting. A memory is incorporated in the equipment, in which the estimating information may be stored. When the filter is set at zero, the memory is connected and feeds the data to it. Simultaneously with the transmission of data by the memory to the filter, it also feeds it with new values covering new estimates commenced after setting at zero. On receipt of data from the memory the filter works at a higher speed in order to catch up with the commenced new estimation. The filter comprises a number of parallel operating units with different starting times, and only one filter unit at a time is connected to the ongoing estimating process. |
