<p>PURPOSE:To carry out the rational drying of stock coal, by contacting the waste gas of a coke oven directly with cooling water, cooling the gas indirectly with cooling water using an indirect cooler, and using the low-pressure steam generated by the cooler as a heat source of the coal drier. CONSTITUTION:The waste gas discharged from the coke oven 3 furnished with the drier 2 for the stock coal to be charged to the coke oven, is made to contact directly with cooling water, and then cooled indirectly with cooling water using the indirect cooler 7. Low-pressure steam having higher temperature than the vapor temperature generated in said indirect cooler is produced by the absorption-type heat pump 50 using the indirect cooler 7 as a vacuum evaporator. The low-pressure steam is used as the heat source of the coal drier 2 to dry the coal 1 for coke oven.</p> |
