PURPOSE:To produce the titled surface-treatment material giving extremely high abrasion resistance when applied to and cured on a substrate to be treated, by compounding a spherical substance made of hard inorganic material with a thermosetting resin having high hardness. CONSTITUTION:A spherical material made of hard inorganic material (e.g. glass beads, alumina, diamond, etc.) having the content of nonspherical material of <=40wt% and an average particle diameter of 20mum or a particle diameter distribution of 5-50mum is compounded with a thermosetting synthetic resin (e.g. epoxy resin, melamine resin, urethane resin, etc.).
