PURPOSE:To provide the titled polymer stable in the air with high heat resistance, capable of giving high-quality conductive material by chemical doping, having quinoid structure with its main chain containing cyclophane-type molecule. CONSTITUTION:The objective conjugated polymer having quinoid structure with its main chain containing cyclophane-type molecule of formula I or II (2<=l, n<10, n>=2). This polymer is illustrated by one of formula III or IV (n>=2); which can be manufactured by oxidative polymerization, at -30-100 deg.C (pref. -10- 10 deg.C) for 10min-10hr, of a compound of formula V in the presence of a large oxidation number transition metal salt catalyst (pref. ferric chloride, chromium trioxide).
