发明名称 PRODUCTIN OF BLACK GLASS BY COLOR FEEDER
摘要 PURPOSE:To produce a black glass, in high productivity at a low cost, by adding a coloring frit containing Mn, Ni or Co and Cr to a green gase glass having the dominant wavelength, the excitation purity and the lightness, etc. falling within specific ranges. CONSTITUTION:A green base glass having a dominant wavelength of 545- 565nm, an excitation purity of 40-85% and a lightness of 20-40% (measured by a 10mm. thick glass) in C.I.E expression, is prepared beforehand. Separately, a coloring frit containing (A) one or more components selected from manganese, nickel and cobalt and (B) chromium is prepared. The coloring frit is added to the above green base glass using a color feeder to obtain the objective black glass. A black glass can be produced keeping high rate of flow. Since the amount of potassium bichromate can be reduced in the present process, the clarity of the product can be improved and the temperature of the smelting furnace can be decreased.
