A spacer, in particular for wall elements of the haunching type having two spaced-apart shuttering boards (3). In this arrangement, the shuttering-board inner sides (1, 2) preferably have milled recesses (10), having a T-shaped cross-section and guided horizontally in the shape of an arc away from the wall axis (P), into which recesses the spacer according to the invention, having the same centre of rotation, is introduced. On both sides of its double-T-shaped central web (5, 6, 7), which also performs the spacing function between the two shuttering-board inner sides (1, 2), said spacer possesses a head part comprising a shank part (27) and a dish-shaped extension (19) with a spherical surface (18) and a partially arcuate upper side (20). In order to protect the milled recess (10), the spacer possesses on each head side a closure butt strap (15) for covering the milled-recess opening (10). <IMAGE>
