PURPOSE:To inhibit or prevent the transmission of vibrations from a base to a support stand excellently covering the whole frequency by transmitting an output from a sensor, which detects the vibration of the base supporting the support stand and outputs an electric signal, over an electrostrictive element interposing between the base and the support stand. CONSTITUTION:When vibration are generated in a floor 3 or a base 4, a sensor 5 is deformed by the vibrations, and an electric signal is outputted. When the downward movement of the base 4 is considered, the sensor 5 is extended vertically, and voltage is outputted between electrode pairs 7a,7b. When the voltage is applied between electrode pairs 11a,11b for an electrostrictive element 9 through a voltage regulating circuit 13, the electrostrictive element 9 is extended vertically in response to supply voltage. The quantity of extension is equal to that of the sensor 5, and the downward movement of the base 4 is absorbed by the electrostrictive element 9, thus resulting in no downward movement of the support stand 2. When the base 4 is moved upward and the sensor 5 is shrunk, on the other hand, voltage is outputted between electrode pairs 8a, 8b. When the voltage is applied between electrode pairs 12a, 12b for the electrostrictive element 9, the electrostrictive element 9 is shrunk vertically to absorb the upward movement of the base 4, thus preventing the upward movement of the support stand 2. |
