PURPOSE:To obtain a device fetching directly an output signal from an image sensor to a computer by sampling a video signal from the image sensor at an equal interval in matching with a speed possible for computer fetching. CONSTITUTION:One start pulse (a) is generated at one scanning and counted by the 1st N-adic counter 1. Further, a clock pulse (b) is fed to the 2nd N-adic counter 2 and counted by a value obtained by dividing an element number M of the linear image sensor by N. The count values of both the counters 1, 2 are compared by a comparator circuit 3 and when the two input values are coincident, one pulse is outputted. Thus, a pulse shifted by one clock pulse's share to a pulse generated at a preceding scanning is generated at the N-th scanning. Thus, the clock pulse subject to sampling is fed to a sample-and-hold circuit 4, where the video signal is sampled and held and the result is fetched to the computer 6 via an A/D converter 5.
