The invention relates to a device for premounting pneumatic vehicle tyres, in particular tyres for lorries, on rigid rims which are provided with emergency running support parts whose outer diameter is larger than the inner diameter formed by the tyre beads. In order to be able to premount even relatively heavy tyres with very rigid bead cores, a device is proposed which is characterised by a rim holding device and by a tyre receptacle and transporting device with a clamping ring which has means for holding the tyre in the region of its tread and can be rotated about an axis which is perpendicular with respect to the axis of rotation. |
