SINGLE-PHASE UNDERWATER MOTOR

PURPOSE:To obtain a small-sized light-weight inexpensive single-phase underwater motor by disposing at least one of a surge absorber unit and a starting switch unit in a connection unit or in the vicinity of the unit. CONSTITUTION:At least one of a surge absorber unit 6 and a starting switch unit 14 is disposed in a plug 31 which is detachably coupled with a power source socket by coupling with the other end of a power cable 24. A single-phase underwater motor constructed as above is reduced in size, a maintenance of the case that the unit 14 or 6 becomes defective becomes economical, and the working efficiency at the maintenance time is largely improved.
