PURPOSE:To shorten response time and to improve measuring acuracy by mixing Cr powder and Fe2O3 powder at a specific weight % ratio. CONSTITUTION:Cr powder and Fe2O3 powder are mixed at a ratio of Cr/ Fe2O3=99/1-95/5 to prepare a reference electrode material. The reference electrode material is then made excellent in exothermic oxidation reaction. The oxygen probe made of such material increases the temp. by itself as the probe is immersed in a molten steel and therefore the response time is made short and the measurement is made exact. The reduction in the production cost of the probe is also made possible. |
