PURPOSE:To eliminate the application of an excess voltage to a switching element of a conversion arm by connecting the coil of a reactor with a DC power source in series with the primary coil of a transformer. CONSTITUTION:Two coils 12a, 12b having the same number of turns and polarity are provided in a reactor 12 of an input side, the coil 12a is connected in series with the coil 10a of two coils 10a, 10b which form the primary coil of a conversion transformer 10, and the coil 12b of the reactor 12 is connected in series with the other primary coil 10b of the transformer 10. One terminal of a series circuit of the coil 12a of the reactor 12 and the primary coil 10a of the transformer 10 is connected with a positive terminal 16 of a DC power source 1 through a switching element 4 and the other terminal of the series circuit is connected with a negative terminal 17 of the power source 1 through a switching element 5 to construct one conversion arm of an input side conversion bridge. The other conversion arm is similarly constructed. |
