PURPOSE:To improve the rigidity of the whole steering system by varing the steering-ratio by varying the turning tilt angle of a turning member which is turned according to the handle steering angle, thus securing the sufficient rigidity of a steering-ratio varying part. CONSTITUTION:A turning member 29 which is turned according to the handle steering angle in a steering-ratio varying apparatus is used, and a tilt-angle varying means 30 which is equipped with an actuator and a worm gear 56 which is revolution-driven by the actuator is installed, and the tilt angle (alpha) which the turning trajectory plane of the turning member 29 forms for a prescribed standard plane (delta) can be varied through the above-described worm gear 56. Therefore, the turning eccentricity position of the turning member 29 shifts X according to the turning angle (theta) and the tilt angle (alpha) with respect to the direction of the axis line which crosses at right angles with the standard plane (delta), and interlocked with a rear-wheel stering mechanism through a transfer member 26, and the steering angle for a rear wheel can be controlled. |
