PURPOSE:To precisely control the damping force by controlling the damping force of a buffer installed between a chassis and a steering system by utilizing the car speed and the steering speed as control factors. CONSTITUTION:A buffer 11 is installed between a relay rod 8 and a chassis 3, and the axis center of the buffer 11 is arranged so as to be nearly parallel to a tie-rod, and the direction of displacement of the tie-rod is allowed to coincide with the direction of generation of the buffering force of the buffer 11. The buffer 11 is of a variable damping-force type. A control unit 39 receives a car- speed signal and a steering-angle signal, and when each of these signals is on the higher car-speed side than a switching line, a signal for increasing the damping force of the buffer 11 is outputted into a driving circuit 34a, and when each signal is on the lower car-speed side than the switching line, the signal for reducing the damping force is outputted. |
