PURPOSE:To automatically decide an amt. of replenishing developing soln. and to feed it by detecting the difference between solubilities of the nonimage part of a photosensitive layer in a fresh developing soln. and a fatigued one as the difference between impedance values with a sensor, and comparing the detected value with a predetermined reference impedance value of each kind of plate. CONSTITUTION:The difference occurring between the solubilities in a fresh developing soln. and a fatigued one, that is, the widths L1 of the toes 2a of a photosensitive layer 2 formed on a support 1 causes the difference between the impedance values obtained with a sensor electrode 4 inserted into both developing solns. For example, a sensor 8 is inserted into a developing soln. 6 fed into a developing zone 5 on a photosensitive plate 7, impedance is detected, and the difference K1-S1 between its value K1 and a reference value S1 predetermined in each kind of plate is found, and a replenishing signal generating means 12 sends this signal to a motor or a driving device 13 in accordance with said value K1-S1 to automatically a necessary amt. of fresh developing soln. from a storage tank 15, thus preventing poor development. |
