PURPOSE:To increase holding force of side supports and thereby facilitate getting on and off an automobile by making the side support on the door side elevatable and making it fixable at lowering and elevating positions by making use of a lock means. CONSTITUTION:Side supports 21 are provided on right and left both sides of a seat cushion 2. The frontal end of the support frame 21 of the left side support 21 on the door side is pivoted on the bracket of a cushion frame 6, and the rear side of the support frame 22 is made elevatable. A lock means comprising a lock pin 36 and lock holes 37, 38, etc., is provided between respective side supports 21 and the cushion frame 6, and is operated with use of an operating lever 42.
