NEW MATERIAL:A compound of formula I (H is residue of histidine; R is H, lower alkyl, aralkyl) and its salt. EXAMPLE:N''-[(S)-2-Azetidinone-4-carbonyl]-L-histidine methyl ester. USE:A synthetic intermediate of N''-(2-azetidinone-4-carbonyl)-L-histidyl-L-proline derivative which is used as a remedy for shizophrenia, depression and aftereffect of cardiovascular disorders. PREPARATION:The reaction of a compound of formula II or its reactive derivative with another compound of formula III or its reactive derivative gives the compound of formula I . The reaction is carried out in accordance with the peptide synthesis such as DCC, azide, activated ester, acid halide or acid anhydride method. |
