WATERTIGHT PROTECTING STRUCTURE OF OPTICAL CABLE DRAWN OUT FROM OVERHEAD EARTH WIRE

PURPOSE:To protect the extended part of an optical cable of an overhead earth wire surely from mechanical damage or weather by opposing the metallic pipe of the extended part of the optical cable to a protection pipe and connecting these pipes mutually through an airtight connecting pipe. CONSTITUTION:The optical cable 12 of the overhead earth wire 2 is extended by prescribed length and the leading end of the extended part is inserted into the protection pipe 13A of a protection cylinder 13. The metallic pipe 8 is opposed to the protection pipe 13A by separating both the pipes with a proper distance and both the pipes are mutually connected through the airtight connecting device 15 and covered with a protection case 16. In said constitution, the extended part 12 of the optical cable 12 can be surely protected from bed influence such as exposure to various mechanical damage or weather and various information data can be smoothly transmitted.
