PURPOSE:At the time when the top of the fleece combed with the cylinder is held with the detouching roller, the top comb is hit to form sliver of high-quality free from contaminants such as flufs, neps and crushed leaves. CONSTITUTION:At the time when the fleece which has been combed by cylinder 1 is held with the detouching roller 29 at its top end, the top comb 23 comes down to the position for combing 23. Nipper 11 goes from the top end, the top comb 23 simultaneously goes back, as it keeps its combing position where the detouching roller 29 effects combing for the fleece in draft.
