PURPOSE:To measure the angle of inclination in the first and second orders with one sensor by using an inclination sensor composed of a 4-legged open magnetic circuit core and a magnetic fluid. CONSTITUTION:The shape of 4-legged open magnetic circuit core, windings and a magnetic fluid MF are as illustrated. Two exciting windings N1 and N2 are so arranged as to perpendicular to the body B of the 4-legged open magnetic circuit core C to generate a magnetic flux in the 4-legged open magnetic circuit core with the two exciting windings N1 and N2. In addition, output windings NL1, NL2, NL'2, NL3 and NL4 are applied to four legs L1, L2, L3 and L4 of the 4- legged open magnetic circuit core and the angle of inclination between the 4-legged open magnetic circuit core and the plane of the magnetic fluid changes thereby representing a variation in the magnetic flux of each leg. A winding is provided to extract a differential voltage of the output voltage in the output winding generated by this flux change to read out the angle of inclination in the first and second orders. |
