PURPOSE:To clean and remove effectively isolated and condensed substance which is deposited on the inside surface of tube of a ceramic filter by passing a cleaning soln. through the inside of tube of said ceramic filter and thereafter or simultaneously passing nonrigid substance. CONSTITUTION:In case wherein impurities are isolated and removed from the fluid A to be treated with a ceramic filter 3 or condensed and the isolated and condensed substance is deposited on the inner side of tube of filter 3 and therefore the described treatment capacity is not obtained, after the circulation and cleaning due to only a cleaning soln. D is performed, the cleaning due to nonrigid substance E consisting of polyvinyl acetate or the like which is stayed in a strainer 4a is performed or may be simultaneously performed. Namely, after the nonrigid substance E in the strainer 4a is pushed out by making the reverse direction to the direction at ordinary operation time of the flow direction of the cleaning soln. D, the nonrigid substance is caught in a strainer 4b of a primary side flow path 8. The passing of nonrigid substance E through filter 3 is repeatedly performed by repeating the operation and the ordinary circulating and cleaning operation due to cleaning soln. D.
