PURPOSE:To obtain good quality tomographic image information by forming a highly uniform static magnetic field, by correcting the dimensional accuracy of a coil and the disturbance of a magnetic field by the ferromagnetic body around the coil. CONSTITUTION:A main coil 1 generates a highly intensive static magnetic field. An oblique magnetic field generation coil 3 generates a first linear oblique magnetic field so as to superpose the same to the above mentioned static magnetic field and successively and selectively generates a plurality of second linear oblique magnetic fields. The high frequency pulse of an oscillator 5 is applied to a probe head 6 consisting of transmitting and receiving coils to generate a rotary magnetic field. A free induction attenuation signal detected by the probe head 6 is inputted to a re-constitution apparatus 7 through an amplifier 8 and an auxiliary coil 10 is arranged in the main coil 1. The auxiliary coil 10 consists of first and second correction coils 10A, 10B. By making a current flowed to the coils 10A, 10B variable, the static magnetic field by the main coil 1 can be corrected and the uniform static magnetic field can be generated.
