PURPOSE:To regain deodorizing effect easily and inexpensively without exchanging an deodorizing filter by providing a cleaning soln. for cleaning deodorant which has been subjected to breakdown to lose the deodorizing effect and a pan of the used cleaning soln. CONSTITUTION:Dirty air is blown from a blow port 11 by means of actuation of a fan 9 and after dust-removing is performed with an electrostatic filter 10, offensive odor components are adsorbed with deodorant 3 such as an adsorption resin having micropores of a deodorizing unit 4 and purified air is blown off from a blow-off port 12. When the deodorant 3 is subjected to a breakdown by continuing the operation for several hours and its deodorizing effect is lost, a valve 7 is opened to flow a cleaning soln. such as aq. alkali and acidic water and the offensive odor components adsorbed to the deodorant are washed down. The used cleaning soln. 2 is received in a pan 8 thereunder. The deodorization is performed by using said deodorant 3 regained with deodorizing effect by the process.
