PURPOSE:To set up optimum magnification automatically on the basis of information related to the size of an original which is obtained in accordance with the moving position of guides and information related to copying paper size by forming the guides to be moved in the vertical and horizontal directions of the original and applying said information to a control part. CONSTITUTION:The guides 9, 10 to be moved along two rectangular sides, e.g. the lower edge and right edge as shown in the figure, of a platen glass 8 are formed. The guides 9, 10 monitor the size of an original 11 to be copied and is individually moved so that the vertical and horizontal size of the original 11 on the platen glass can be independently detected. Linear potentiometers 12, 13 are formed under the vertical and horizontal guides 9, 10 and made to interlock with the guides 9, 10, so that voltage corresponding to the moving positions of the guides 9, 10 is taken out when the guides 9, 10 are moved in accordance with the size of the original 11. Consequently, the original 11 can be copied on the copying paper with optimum magnification. |
