<p>PURPOSE:To prevent clogging due to sludge, to increase the contact efficiency, and to stabilize the denitrifying effect by packing a packing material into a rotary drum consisting of a double net structure, the inner and the outer, and supplying a hydrogen donative body into the hollow part at the inside of the inner net. CONSTITUTION:The inside of a vessel is agitated to prevent clogging due to sludge and to increase the contact efficiency by packing a packing material 15 between the outer net 13 and the inner net 14, and rotating a rotary drum 12 constituting a rotary backing drum at the comparatively large number of revolutions. Moreover, the contact efficiency can be further increased by supplying methanol into a hollow part 16 through a revolving shaft 17, and the methanol is highly utilized as the hydrogen donative body. In addition, the generation of scum is prevented by a backwashing pipe 24 which is provided opposite to the rotary drum 12 in the vicinity of the lowest end of the drum, and the stripping off of the old waste sludge is promoted.</p> |
