Disclosed herein are novel derivatives of N,Nsubstituted azolecarboxamide represented by the formula(I): < IMG > (I) wherein R1 represents a hydrogen atom, methyl group, ethyl group or propyl group; R2 represents an alkyl qroup of 1 to 6 carbon atoms; R3 represents a hydrogen atom or methyl group; A represents a hydrogen atom or methyl group; X and Y represent respectively CH or nitrogen atom, provided that when X represents a nitrogen atom, Y represents a nitrogen atom or CH and when X represents CH, Y represents a nitrogen atom; and Z represents an oxygen atom or sulfur atom, provided that when Z represents a sulfur atom, A represents only a hydrogen atom; and an agricultural or horticultural fungicidal or nematicidal composition containing the novel derivative of the formula (I) as an active ingredient.
